The 2017 MotoGP calendar remains pretty much the same as last season. It will feature the same 18 rounds with just slight adjustments in terms of spacing between some of the races and Assen will carry on with a Sunday race for the second year running.

The new season will see a two-week gap between Argentina and the US grands prix and Germany moves forward by a fortnight to be back-to-back with the Dutch round in Assen to create a summer break, the next race weekend being held at Brno on the 6th August.

The FIA World Motor Sport Council announced a 20-race calendar on the 30th November for the 2017 Formula 1 season. There are a number of changes compared to the provisional schedule published back in September, something worth bearing in mind when planning travel arrangements.

The next F1 season will no longer feature a German Grand Prix and the race weekend in Baku, now known as the Azerbaijan Grand Grand Prix rather than the European one will take place two weeks after the Canadian round, and more crucially, the weekend after the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Other changes from the provisional schedule include a push back by one week of the Austrian, British and Hungarian rounds, Singapore and Malaysia are swapped back as per the 2016 season and Mexico is once again paired with the US GP.
